Introduction

PayPal and eBay make it possible for everyone to sell and buy items online.

PayPal is a method used to send and receive money online.
To send/receive money you will need a PayPal account *(see note below).
You can send money through PayPal to another PayPal user.
You can receive money from another person who has a PayPal account.
Your PayPal account is linked to your email address.
If you subscribe to a PayPal Business account you can accept credit cards via PayPal.

Note: *business accounts allow people to make purchases without signing up for a PayPayl account themselves.

Registering with these companies is both simple and free.

All you will need is an email address and you can add your prefered methods for paying/receiving money later (eg. credit card, bank transfer, etc).

eBay may seem like a good starting point for anyone planning to sell online, however it is a very useful means for drawing customers to your web site.
