We strongly advise that you seek advice prior to making any purchase so that you can avoid the cowboys and choose from a provider with a proven track record.
It is often the case that your web developer will offer to host your website. This can often prove a useful route as it can minimise the time taken when a problem should arise. If your developer and host are the same company there are no middle-men to speak to and you will avoid the issue where the blame is passed from one to the other.
