Okay, so this is something you should always do when getting your site set up with Google Analytics. What with the amount of time you spend broswing through your pages checking for errors or other discrepancies it’s bound to make your site look popular.

First you need to know what your IP Address is. No problem visit:
http://www.whatsmyip.org/

Secondly you need to login to your Analytics account. Do so here:
http://www.google.com/analytics

Once logged in and viewing the overview click on edit under the actions column. From here scroll down to Filters and click on Add Filter.

You should select Exclude all traffic from an IP address and then enter your IP Address as shown in the example. For example mine would look like this:

217\.22\.149\.162
