We’ve been testing this on our Office for a good number of months now. It’s a very powerful plugin for Microsoft Outlook.
Finally out of Beta we believe it is the right time to be recommending it to our clients.
The main reason we started using it was for it’s excellent search feature. Still on MS Outlook 2003, we had been using Lookout as our search indexing plugin of choice, but it was annoying having to remember all of the little commands to do certain search queries.
The nice thing about Xobni (inbox backwards in case you’ve not yet noticed) is the way it creates a little profile for each of your clients – pulling together usfeul information such as telephone number, recent conversations and who is in their email network. Select an email and you can immediately see that persons recent emails, file attachments and even their profile photo – if they are on facebook or linkedin.
Think of it like having social network features in your mailbox.

who needs social network features in the office? i always thought people are working in office
?!
(there are other tools, which search even faster and are more professional, for example http://www.lookeen.com )
i ask myself every day, how to spend 10million dollars to develop a tool like xobni? i cannot belive that this is so expensive (my theory is, they
-have burnt the money
-they cleand up their ***** with it, lol)
seriously: i think this tool is just too big and does a lot of things which can be useful, but the main function is a bit disregarded:
search e-mail content in outlook
